Raised in New York City by a family of designers Cristina came by her love of art and interiors early, and after graduating from college, she began work as a set designer in film and television. It was during this time that the focus of her passion turned to textiles and wallpaper.
Cristina made the leap from the world of film to the world of textiles, landing her first job in the industry with Schumacher. In 2005, she relocated to Los Angeles to become Design Director at Kelly Wearstler, where she designed and developed all of the brand’s home product collections. In 2018 Cristina debuted her own line of wallpapers inspired by her love for pattern, saturated color and bold graphics. A second collection of wallpapers, with influences of Art Deco, Dorothy Draper, Jazz and Ornamentalism followed two years later.
In the fall of 2020, Cristina returned to New York - and to Schumacher - to become Design Director of the house's textiles and wallcoverings. The creative partnership between Cristina and Schumacher came full circle in September 2021 when the iconic brand became the exclusive representative of Cristina's collection of wallpapers in showrooms around the world.
Now based in East Hampton, Cristina and her mother Linda have opened a pop-up antique store named B Vintage on Main Street. Together, they are sharing pieces from their many years of collecting antiques - an eclectic mix of vintage furniture, lighting, art, textiles, and much more.
